Too Bed or Not to Bed? That is the question!

So I have been put on bed rest and it has been about 3 weeks now. Last time I went into my OB he told me to go see my "Kidney Doctor". I went in and say him on Friday. He took a look at where I was in my pregnancy and what the protein in my urine was doing and checked a few other things out, and told me that my kidneys are not going to get any better with bed rest. It all has to do with the fact that up until 2 or 3 weeks ago, the baby was still small enough to not consume my body. What am I talking about you ask.... well the baby is growing so much now that his blood volume is making my kidneys work 1 and 1/2 times as hard as they were 3 to 4 weeks ago. Which means that there is nothing that they can do but deliver the baby. Now we don't need to do that because I am so close to the end, and the chances of the amount of protein being released affecting my kidneys in the long run are under 5%! Am I making any sense of myself? I have not had a chance to speak with my OB yet, but my kidney doc says "take it easy, but get back to your life a little bit more". So I have and I feel great, my blood pressure is totally normal, and I feel great. Although I am still down a little bit throughout the day, I am doing my dishes and keeping my house up a little bit more. This is so exciting to me, I am so dang happy that things are looking better. Now, I am pretty sure that he will still come on the 7th, only because according to both docs there is no sense in waiting unless they think he is abnormally small. So with allllll of that said, I am happy I am able to do things a little more, but looking forward to the beginning of April for this little guy to arrive!

I can't believe that I only have 19 days

What in the world? How did this happen so fast? Although in the most boring times of the day I feel that it will never come, our baby boy will be arriving in 2 weeks. Well things are good, although they are so busy. And for being on bed rest they are even more busy. I have been told to be a bit more strict, and stay put. It is seemingly impossible to do with a 2 1/2 year old, but I know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The baby is measuring right on so I think he is around 5 lbs already and his lungs are fully developed. So if for some reason he comes now or anytime before the 7th, he should be healthy. I am feeling good, but larger each day. I am only 35 weeks, and I am delivering at 37 weeks so I feel bad complaining about the lack of space left inside of my body, but wow! how does anyone do it going longer than 40 weeks.
Mitchell is acting a little different lately, I am not sure if he is having a hard time with me on bed rest or if he is sensing something is changing, or he is just 2 1/2???? That is probably it! Anyway we are reading a lot and having fun.
My birthday was this week, and it was one of the best b-day's that I have had. I expected nothing, and had a great day. I rested most of the day and had lunch brought to me by my sister and step-mom. It was just lovely. To my surprise my Dad and Patty bought me a sewing machine. I am thrilled and I can't wait to start using it! Ben gave me a blender which we have both wanted for a while, and it is great. My Mom gave me money which is always nice especially because I can't use very much right now. Anyway it was a great day.
Well I am just bored now, so its a bunch of gibberish! More updates soon:)

The Latest!

So I went to the Doc today and umm.... I am on bed rest.... did I mention that I am on bed rest? My blood pressure is actually great, but my protein levels are OFF THE CHARTS! They were never this high, even when I was pregnant with Mitchell. I and my doctor are most concerned about what this is doing to my Kidney's. He was asking me if I had thought of a transplant, and he advised me to go see my Nephroligist, which is my Kidney doc. But, I am so grateful that I have this baby inside of me still. But I am so sad that I have to sit for 3 weeks.... oh yeah, I am scheduled for April 7th at 5PM! Only 3 weeks from today! But that will make me 37 weeks 2 days. My doctor told me that "IF" I make it that far that will be great! bummer!!!!! So yeah, that is my life. Hey I am optimistic that we will make it to April 7th! Anyway that is the scoop!

Baby's Room and some other stuff

Well I am done with the Baby's room. I am so excited it turned out so cute. But of course the pictures don't do it any justice. I used all of the same furniture and bedding that Mitchell used. I just changed the theme. I did African Animals, and it was fun to do. I am all ready for the baby, well not the sleepless nights and extreme tiredness, but you know what I mean. My big purchase this time around was a very nice swing, and a new car seat. My good friend Lexy helped me make the curtains and they are probably my favorite thing in the room. I am so excited!

I also finished all of the remodel that I did, and Ben of course. I just did a lot of touch up work in the house, we put in new doors and new paint throughout the house. It has been lots of fun.

OK I have settled down!

I am sorry for my last post. I was being a bit of a whinny baby. I have calmed down and I will post more later about my progress as soon as I get all my test results back!

SHIT!!!!!

OK I said it! I am mad and frustrated. I have been put on modified bed rest! I am so mad, and just depressed. I will do whatever it takes to get this sweet baby here safe and sound, but I thought I was in the clearing. I should not think that until the baby is here.... I know! Anyway, I just found out today, and I am hoping that I get lucky enough to lower my blood pressure and be OK! The GREAT news is that the baby is measuring right on and I am 33 weeks, and he sounds great too. I also know that things could be so much worse. At least it is not pre term labor or something like that! Thanks for reading!
