I ahem...made this!
Now I will give you all the dirty details!
It took me 10 hours to make- I started on Friday around 10:30am and finished baking cakes around 4. Than woke up Saturday and started decorating it. I started at 11 and finished at 3ish.
I used 3 butter recipe cake mixes and 3 different round sizes.
I frosted them with homemade butter cream frosting and refrigerated over night.
I made Marshmallow Fondant by watching YouTube...
I learned how to color it, roll it out, and apply it by watching YouTube...
I bought the figurines at target for 50 dollars
The bottom is "dirt" with a fruit leather "fence"
the middle is the sky with "aliens" and stars
the top is the moon with Buzz
I........HAD...........A...........BLAST!!!!!!!! It was so fun to learn how to do this. HOWEVER I will use my skills sparingly! My children did not eat breakfast or lunch on those 2 days.....I AM NOT KIDDING!! I was so in too it that I just kept giving them goldfish, milk, water, milk, apple juice, water OH they are really grumpy maybe I should feed them.....Hmmmm (look at the time) it's 6pm!!!!! I felt really bad! So I am glad the birthdays are not every week at our house:) Cause I am sooo doing it again when both of their birthdays come around!
Ok Now in too June real quick...
Garrett learned to walk at the beginning of June- I will try to find a picture:) I have lots of video! It is funny...he learned in about 1 week, and he just took off- never really fell or had trouble! Anyway it is so nice to not have his hands touching the floor every second of the day!
At the beginning of June I had a very good friend of mine take some pictures of me, the kids and my Mom. I wanted some professional picture of my Mom and the boys, this was both boys birthday photo's and than I needed a "model:):):)" picture of me for my new hair blog which I will discuss later:)! So here they are!
Aren't they just awesome! Well I thought so! She did take some more of us and Ben was included this time, but I don't have those yet:) Anyway her name is Jen and her website is Click on the button on the side of my blog for her info! My new hair blog is I will be posting a lot of pictures of mostly updo's and make up that I do to show brides from all over the place. I was put on a list....a LIST at the JSMB for hairstylists...however, I am the only one on "the list" so I thought I would amp up my porfolio! On June 26th Ben ran the Utah Valley Marathon! He hardly trained because of time constraints, but he came in at 3:28. This was his 4th marathon, and his 2nd one this year. He was bummed that he didn't make 3:10 to qualify for the boston. I think he did great:)!!
This is the thrill of a lifetime! This is as exciting as it gets around here on a normal day at the Gowans residence:) They LOVE to watch the washer! I love the cheap thrills!
My Sista came in to town...FINALLY...hahaha! And we went to the Zoo for a day. It was so fun! The kids had a blast and we all just got to talk and hang out:) COME BACK SOON STAC!
So I ate 1/2...HALF of this at AJ birthday party. AJ is my neice, Stacey's daughter. I don't have any pics of her...what is wrong with me, I take pics of the food but not AJ! REALLY Anyway, it was the best Hot Dog I have ever had. Thanks for sharing Brent! HAppy Birthday AJ!!!!!!
Than he ran a 10K just to see how fast he could do it. 40 mins and 2 place! He got a medal:)
GRANDMA SAL! SO, My Mom's mother-in-law is Grandma Sal. She has Cancer that is terminal. When Mitchell was born, she had about a year to live. Obviously she has out lived all the odds. So she has a bucket list. She wanted to be in a parade. So she entered the Park City 4th of July parade and got in. She wanted all of her Great Grandkids, and their Mothers to ride on the float with her, so we did! It was so fun!!! I was emotional, and just seeing her stand on her "throne"? she looked beautiful, and happy, and just...great...really it was so cool! Thanks Grandma, we love you SOOOO much!!!!
Mitchell learned to ride a 2 wheeler about 2 weeks before turning 4! Pretty cool huh!
Ben and I love to boat.......PROBLEM we don't have a boat, and no fortune cookie will give us one! So my Mom has a boat and we finally got to go out! It was so great! Cute pic of the Ben and the Gary:)

Yes, we had the party, and the big day! IT was by far the FUNNEST birthday yet! Just how excited he was this year was so magical and exciting and fun! I can't believe my Mitchell is 4......tears..... I just can't believe it! So far 4 is absolutely hilarious! IM LOVING IT!!!
Anyway, this was his invitation. Cute huh- I got it on line at It was just to cute to email it, so I printed them at home and sent them off!

So I know that none of the pictures show the crafts, but we made Mr. Potato heads out of foam paper- I will take a pic tomorrow if your luck I will post it. And "Galaxy's" where Buzz light year came from!
More cake, and more Buzz. I will post more pics of his bday. It was so fun, but I will be recovering (stress) for the next year!
