Thomas!

We took Mitchell to Thomas up at the Heber Valley Railroad. It was so stinkin cute! If any of you know him, you know how OBSESSED he is with Thomas. The pictures say it all!

6 weeks

Garrett is 6 weeks... WHAT! He is growing way faster than Mitchell did:) haha, obviously that is not true, but he is definitely growing! He is doing great with the exception of a small case of colic. He cries in the evening just about every night, sometimes he cries for longer than others, and although I am sad that he is sad and in pain, it does not bother me because he sleeps for 4 hours straight sometimes 5! It is so nice:) But it does make me sad that he is uncomfortable. He is staying awake a little more through the day but not much yet. I will post a picture later!

I went to my six week check up today and things look great. I have a few issues since having the baby, but I am doing well. Also I jumped on the scale and I am 2 lbs lighter than I was when I got pregnant, and I have not done one thing to deserve that.... except have a baby:) I had an IUD put in today, and it was very uncomfortable for like 20 minutes and that was it!! It will be nice to not have to worry about taking a pill every day! So now I would like to try and loose 20 lbs by the end of July... no reason for that timing but I think it is a reasonable goal! I will take a picture of myself and have that on my blog for motivation!

Some of the weeks events!

Well, Garrett is 5 weeks old now and is doing great. He is still such a great baby. He has grown out of all of his newborn clothes and diapers, for those of you who don't have babies, there is a difference between Newborn clothes and 0-3 month clothes:) Weird I know:) Anyway, he is sooo cute and fun to have around. He is growing WAY to fast!! I have ordered his birth announcements and they should be coming soon. I ordered them from doodlebugdezigns.com (it is not spelled wrong) They are sooo cute I can't wait to get them. I will scan it on to my computer for all of you to see! With all going well, I do have to call the doctor today, I think that Garrett might have reflux. It is so sad when he eats sometimes he projectile vomits everywhere! And we have gone through a bottle of mylicon this week. So we will see about that!
Mitchell is getting so big, and learning how to talk back... I don't like that so much. The other day I called his name and he yelled back, "Yes Dear?" I was laughing! He also needed help with something in his room and when I didn't come immediately he started counting "1..2..3" Yeah, I guess turnabout is fair play! He still adores Garrett, but when Garrett cries he says, "Garrett, stop crying" its pretty funny! He can also tell when Garrett cries verses another baby. I think that is funny too!
I found Garrett's blessing outfit on Saturday, it is a plain white onesie with a collar and a pair of cotton pants.... boys are so easy! All the expensive ones were too feminine for me.
Mothers day was great, I made myself breakfast and it was yummy, we went to church, and than had dinner at my Moms. It was just another day, and right now it's nice to keep things simple! I hung pictures in our house of Garrett! It's official he is a part of the family:)

I was in a hurry so I bathed the boys together... it was way more work than it would have been to bathe them separate:) This is the best picture I could get!



The other night, Garrett was a bit fussy and I really needed to get the laundry done, so I threw all the clothes in the dryer in the basket and put Garrett on top... he fell asleep immediately! Its my new trick:)



Again, I love this one! It is so fun to have 2 boys!

My Splurge-

I just bought 4 new pair of shoes.... I have never done that before, but they were cute and a good deal. Go to 6pm.com (thanks Jen) I also got a new camera and that is my Mothers Day gift! Ben has a habit of BREAKING EVERYTHING HE TOUCHES!!!! So I said it was time to get myself my OWN camera, I have not used it yet... I will let you know! UMMMMM Don't tell Ben about the shoes:) hahahaha! Also I only spent $106 bucks on ALL of the shoes including tax and shipping! Yeah!!
