Our Christmas Weekend
We have had a fun weekend. It was our ward Christmas party on Saturday. We had a yummy dinner, a quick program and Santa. Santa was a treat, Mitchell obviously had not seen him since last year so it was interesting. As you can see in the last picture, he was not happy about it. But he did OK. Than Monday we went to The Polar Express up in Heber. It was so fun. Ben, Mitchell and I had dinner than went to Heber at 7:30. We just about did not make it, the snow was crazy. We were a bit unsure that we would ever make it at all. Mitchell was asleep before we got there, but perked right up as soon as we told him that we were at The Polar Express. We got right on the train when we got there. It has been very cold, and yesterday was around 25 degrees. The train warmed up soon after all the people got on. It was packed. Mitchell was wearing his pajama's along with all of the other kids. We started out with a cookie and hot chocolate. Than we read "The Polar Express" book. Than we went to the North Pole and picked Santa up! We talked Santa up quite a bit, so he was VERY excited to see him. We also told him to ask Santa for a bike. And he did so we will see if he gets it....hmmmm...! Anyway, Santa gave him a bell, and he has carried it around all day today. He has also talked about The Polar Express ALL DAY! I am so very glad that we did it this year. He is BEYOND obsessed with trains, so that made it fun. Also he was still free. And I don't know that we will ever fork $77 bucks out for that again. But don't get me wrong, it was WELL worth it, and if you have wanted to do it, you defiantly should. It truly put our Christmas season in full blast. I, again, am so glad that we went. Merry Christmas to you all!!!!
